Landstar has been named by the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) as a 2025 Elite Fleet certified carrier. According to the organization, Landstar and the 47 other truckload carriers in this inaugural class of Elite Fleets are each recognized as a TCA 2025 Best Place to Drive.
In a press release by the TCA, this new initiative was developed with the University of Denver’s Transportation & Supply Chain Institute to spotlight North American for-hire truckload carriers that foster safety, offer competitive compensation and implement innovative practices to support their drivers.
According to the TCA, certified fleets were assessed on criteria including safety records, driver satisfaction, turnover rates, driver quality of life, equipment and operational efficiency. Surveys of drivers and independent contractors were conducted to validate the results.
TCA President Jim Ward said, “We are incredibly proud to announce this first class of TCA Elite Fleets. These carriers went through a comprehensive and detailed application process.”
Landstar executives accepted the honor in March at the TCA’s annual event, held this year in Phoenix, Arizona.
